![]() SE seems to have a big issue with getting manpower. It was also easier to hire new employees who knows Unreal right off the bat. Should they have stuck with it they would end up with a Crystal Tools disaster again, which was making the game engine whole making 3 very different games at the same time. ![]() When the teams were developing KH3 and FFVIIR, FFXV and Luminous was not completed yet. There was a huge network of people actually using it, we were communicating with the Japanese people at Epic a lot - it was like a complete product. "We decided that Unreal 4 was right for us. "There was nothing wrong with the Luminous engine at all," Yasue countered. "Due to the impact of changing the game engine to Unreal Engine 4, which we did for various reasons, there is some difficulties rendering images"īut development on Kingdom Hearts 3 began on Luminous before Square Enix shifted to Unreal 4, which begs the question: was there a problem with how Luminous was working out? The headline says "Kingdoms Hearts 3 switched to Unreal Engine 4 due to rendering difficulties" In fact, very often, people attributed Nomura saying Luminous had problems, when it was actually a wrong headline that was never corrected by Polygon. Well actually, there has been no remarks made by anyone from SE about Luminous being difficult to use and that has been a myth that is out on reddit and other places like to pass around like it is fact. Tbh I’m not enjoying myself at all with this game and I love final fantasy. I’ve made use of fast travel after the first few times. Even on manual drive you’re on rails, which is very odd. The car is cool (it looks cool) but traveling is slow and overly realistic for fantasy game. If it werent for invisible walls, and maybe a double jump, it would be more fun to explore it, but apparently I can’t jump a 2 foot high dock rope fence or climb a boulder, or jump down from an 8 meter cliff, but I can warp during combat 100 feet away to hang on something. I’m really detached from the characters, the world is mostly empty and doesnt encourage exploration (bar tells you a chest is waaaaay over there, so you have to run across a barren field for 5 minutes, run 5 minutes back, and your reward was a fuzzy horn(?) that I have no clear use for beyond selling for 50 gil. i watched kingsglaive some time ago, but there was virtually no exposition whatsoever to the game to give me a reason to care about these characters.Įxcept for a REALLY awkward playable scene at game start where everything is on fire, for some reason, and then it jumps away as though I was supposed to get what that was about. I’m about 9 hours in and I care nothing about these characters. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
